Two of the shooting stars in the Danish restaurant world, chefs Jesper Kirketerp and Rasmus Kliim, and Claus Meyer, the leading light of the New Nordic Cuisine-movement, opened their new lovechild, Restaurant Radio, on Wednesday 31 August. Seven years after the opening of Noma, rated no 1 restaurant in the world both 2010 and 2011, where Mayer was one of the creators.
Restaurant Radio is situated the area of Frederiksberg in Copenhagen. They will offer a three course meal for 300 DKK and a five course meal for 400 DKK, all of them prepaired by one of the famous chefs with solid experience from Noma, Geranium and Geist.
A Welcoming, Modern and Urban Restaurant.
“We aim to create a restaurant which is welcoming, modern and urban,” say the three restaurateurs about their new venture.
They will source some of the best – seasonal – Danish produce from their own organic fields in nearby Ballerup, fresh fruits from the Danish island of Lilleø, and they plan to collaborate with local fishermen and farmers.
All to ensure a cutting-edge kitchen while retaining the kinship to the lands and the people who are significant to them.
